The UCSB American Red Cross is a great opportunity for students to get involved on campus and in the global community. We are primarily community service and disaster-preparedness based, working with many local and international charity organizations, as well as other on-campus clubs and groups. The members of the club work closely with the Santa Barbara Red Cross Chapter in organizing leadership camps, teaching basic safety courses to children, as well as organizing CPR and First aid certification classes. All members are encouraged and enabled to move at their own pace and take part in the many trainings offered through the Santa Barbara chapter. We guarantee that there is something for everyone; from opportunities to respond to local disasters, to personal First Aid and CPR training, to even teaching courses themselves!
