Get Involved!

Getting involved with the UCSB American Red Cross is easy! Just follow the steps below and move at your own pace. We love new members, so don't be shy!

Step 1: Become an American Red Cross Volunteer

It's easy! Click here to fill out an online volunteer application through the new Red Cross site "Volunteer Connection." You will then be prompted to complete a list of steps to fully complete your registration, including a free background check and online orientation about the history and mission of the American Red Cross.

Step 2 : Attend a meeting

Come one, come all! Everyone is welcome to our weekly meetings, whether they have completed the volunteer application or not. Learn about what we do on campus and in the local community, and help us plan and implement new club goals. The club is what YOU make of it, so get involved!

We meet at 7pm in the UCEN Lobero Room every Wednesday night.

Step 3 : Get trained!

Individual training is at the heart of the American Red Cross. As a UCSB Club, we offer the valuable link for members to find training opportunities that interest them. We encourage all members to work within their own pace, comfort level, and interests whether it be First Aid/CPR, Shelter Training, or even the unique "Masters of Disasters" program. Click here to learn more about the training classes offered by the American Red Cross.

The Club is always planning new events for members to get involved with. We compile an extensive calendar of events every quarter from fundraisers, to community education projects, to ecological restoration projects. We are always looking for fresh ideas and an extra set of hands! Check out our events page to see what's coming up this quarter!
